President's Volunteer Service Award
Program We are
pleased to announce Troop 730’s participation in the PRESIDENT’S VOLUNTEER
SERVICE AWARD program as a Certifying Organization.
This new AWARD is a Presidential honor that
recognizes the valuable contributions of volunteers nationwide who are
answering President George W. Bush’s call to serve others through their
current volunteer activities or lifetime service. As a Certifying
Organization, we will identify eligible recipients, verify their service
hours, and distribute the AWARD to qualifying volunteers.
Eligible volunteer service hours are not limited
to scout service projects. Service hours can be accumulated through work
on a variety of community projects throughout the year. The only
requirement is that the hours be completed within 12 months; recipients
can qualify for a new AWARD each year. Please see the table below for the
different levels of award
requirements.
For those interested in pursuing this Award, you
must log your service hours online. All scout-related service hours will be entered by
the troop, based on the official troop database. The applicant is
responsible for entering non-scout-related service hours, as well as
providing documentation for these hours to the troop for verification
purposes. Scouts can sign up with PVSA to track their hours at this site by Clicking Here After creating an account signing up, click the Profile tab and fill out your profile information.
Your Record of Service Key for Troop 730 is
PTN-52799.
Scouts younger than 14 must contact the administrator to set up an online tracking account. Please request one by sending an email to wen4prosperity@gmail.com . If you have any questions, please email our Troop 730 Administrator for this program at wen4prosperity@gmail.com
